Dear Supervisor Powers:
San Francisco is exploring the feasibility of hosting a 1992-2000
international exposition on Treasure Island to hail the end of the Century
and to launch us into next millennium!
I have appointed a Committee to look into the feasibility of staging this
monumental event which would embrace the entire Bay Area and would,
assuming a positive feasibility report, prove an economic dynamo for not
only every major city and county in the Bay Area, but the state as well.
My office will certainly keep you posted as to our progress and, indeed,
would welcome any input that you might have on our Feasibility Study.
Feel free to call me directly or have your staff call Jim Lazarus, my Chief of
Operations at (415) 554-6150.
Sincerely,
'`/
