RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Lorna Bastian) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-351-20, to amend Standard Contract #24-351-19 with La Cheim Residential Treatment Center, effective February 1, 1994, to modify the Contract Payment Provisions, with no change in the Contract Payment Limit. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. This. , Contract Amendment Agreement modifies the Payment Provisions to allow an increase in the Contractor's Adolescent Program services with a corresponding decrease in its Latency Program services. There is'' no change in the Contract Payment Limit. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: On June 8, 1993 , your Board approved Standard Contract 24-351-19 with La Cheim Residential Treatment Center, for the period from July 1, 1993 through June 30, 1994 , for operation of two residential group home programs providing residential treatment for mentally disturbed adolescents and latency-age children in this County. Since the beginning of the Fiscal Year, the demand for Adolescent Program services has increased while the demand for Latency Age Program services has decreased. Therefore, the County and the Contractor have agreed to adjust the number of service units and the payment amounts to accurately reflect the . services which the Contractor is providing for the County. County and Contractor agree therefore to amend said Contract as set forth below while all other parts of the Contract remain unchanged and in full force and effect. 1. Modification of Payment Provisions. Paragraph 1. (Payment Amounts) , subparagraph d. is hereby deleted and replaced with a new subparagraph d. to read as follows: " [X] d. (1) Adolescent Program: At the rate of $30. 00 per service unit as defined in the attached Service Plan for the provision of not more than 5518 service units, not to exceed a total of $165,540 during the term of this Contract; and (2) Latency Age: At the rate of $42 . 00 per service unit as defined in the attached Service Plan for the provision of not more than 230 service units, not to exceed a total of $9, 660 during the term of this Contract.
