IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION NO. 94/115
Commending Michael Schubert on
Taking First Place in the Judo
Event of the 1993 U.S.. National
Police Olympics
WHEREAS,Michael Schubert has been a Community Services Officer with the
Pittsburg Police.Department since September, 1991;
VIFERREAS,,Michael earned a Bronze.Medal in the Open Division of the Police.
Summer Games in Southern California on June 25,.1993, qualifying to compete in the National
Police Olympics;
WHEREAS, he was one of two police officers from California who qualified to .
compete in the 1993 National Police Officers Olympics which took place on November 27, 1993, in
San Antonio,Texas;
WfMREAS Michael captured the coveted Gold Medal in the Judo Event at the
1993 National Police Officers Olympics.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVI-
SORS OF COWkA COSTA COUNTY commends Michael Schubert for capturing the Gold
Medal in the Judo Event of the 1993 National Police Officers Olympic Competition and recognizes
him for his outstanding representation of the.Pittsburg Police Department, Contra Costa County
and California at this.national competition.
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board.Members present on the 1st Day of
March, 1994.
