On April 14, 1994, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County is presenting
the 15th Annual Warrington Stokes Awards for significant contributions to the field of child
abuse prevention in Contra Costa County. The Awards are named in honor of the former Chief
of Program Planning for the county, Warrington Stokes. They are given in four categories:
Community Service, Direct Service Practitioner, Child Protective Service Worker, and Special

agencies working in the field of Children's and Family Services and appreciates their continuing
commitment to provide essential child abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment, as well as
