MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: February 8, 1994 SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 4 for the Oakley Road Improvement project, Project No. 0662-6R4235-92, Oakley area. Recommended Action: APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 4 in the approximate amount of $6,000.00 and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Vintage Grading and Paving, Inc. for work performed. II. Financial Impact: The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover this change order cost. The project is funded by Developer Contribution (12%) Deferred Improvement Agreement (7%), Oakley/North Brentwood Area of Benefit (55%), State Transportation Partnership Program (15%), and Diablo Water District (11%). III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The cumulative total of contract change orders Nos. 1 through 4 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring Board approval. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Without approval the contractor will not receive payment for work required.
