SUBJECT: Qualified Advisors (Underwriters) - Housing Bond Issues
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS ;
ADD Prior, McClendon, Counts & Co. to the County's list of qualified
financial advisors for single family and multi-family housing bond
financings.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
On January 30, 1990 the Board of Supervisors adopted revised policies
and procedures for the award of contracts for financial advisors,
investment bankers and bond counsel for County capital financing.
Pursuant to those January 30, 1990 procedures, the Board of
Supervisors established a list of qualified investment bankers.
The firm of Pryor, McClendon, Counts & Co. has requested and submitted
their credentials for inclusion on the County's list of qualified
investment bankers for single family and multi-family housing bond
issues.
Staff has reviewed their credentials and find them to be acceptable,
and recommends their inclusion as qualified advisors. Pryor,
McClendon, Counts & Co. is a minoritoy owned b siness ente rise.
