JUN 2 1 W.3 Mr. Tom Torlakson, Chair Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors 300 East Leland Road, Suite 100 Pittsburg, California 94565 Dear Mr. Torlakson: y 2 3 1993 Subject: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Monitoring Contra Costa County B-89-UC-06-0002 B-90-UC-06-0002 B-91-UC-06-0002- In -91-UC-06-0002In our monitoring letter dated April 7 , 1993, it was stated that we had not made a conclusion regarding the County's CDBG relocation activities pending further review. A follow up visit was made by one of my staff on May 13, 1993, to review the available data and information in your files for the one project that included relocation activities. Based on our assessment of that information, we have concluded that persons were provided with appropriate services or relocation benefits without regard to race, and that they were able to consider the full range of neighborhoods in making their relocation decisions. The monitoring conclusion is Acceptable Performance for this program area, and no further action is required as part of our review. If there are any questions, please contact Harold Redic, Director, Program Operations Division, at (415) 556-3840. V y sincerely yours, LaVe a Gillespie Director Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity cc: Susan Griffin Jimmy Prater, 9CMA
