MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: June 8, 1993 SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 9 for the San Pablo Ave./Willow Ave. project in the Rodeo area, Project No. 0662-6R4272-89 Specific Requests)or Recomnwxx ion(s)&Background&Justification I. Recommended Action: APPROVE Contract Change Order#9 in the approximate amount of$21,000.00 and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Don Dowd Company for final quantities used on the project. II. Financiallmpact: The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover the change order costs. The source of funds is the Transportation System Management Program (100% State Funded). III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: This change order will balance quantities allotted with quantities used. Since the combined total of change orders for this project exceeds $25,000.00, Board Approval is needed. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Lack of Approval would preclude payment to the contractor for work done.
