The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa resolves: 1. The Board orders the Public Works Director, the person designated by this Board as the Engineer of Work for Landscaping and Lighting District AD 1979-3 (LL-2), to prepare and file the annual report in accordance with the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting District Act of 1972. 2. The Board fixes July 27, 1993, at 11:00 a.m., and August 3, 1993, at 11:00 a.m., in the Board chambers, as the date, time and place for public hearings on the proposed annual assessments for Zones 7, 40, 41 and 44. 3. The Board fixes August 3, 1993, at 11:00 a.m., in the Board chambers, as the date, time and place for the public hearing by.the Board on the levy of the proposed annual assessments for Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38 and 39. 4. The Board approves the attached notices to be mailed to property owners in Zones 7, 40, 41 and 44, and the Board delegates the duty of giving the notice to the Public Works Director pursuant to Section 22551 of the Streets: and Highways Code. Recommended Action: 1. ACCEPT Engineer's Report for Landscaping and Lighting District AD 1979-3 (LL-2) Fiscal Year 1993-94 assessments; 2. ADOPT Resolutions directing preparation and filing of Engineer's Report, declaring intent to levy and collect annual assessments, and providing notice of public hearings and availability of Engineer's Report. Il. Financial Impact: Implementation of the proposed Landscaping and Lighting District AD 1979-3 (LL-2) assessments for Fiscal Year 1993-94 will raise $1,068,777. These funds will be used solely on maintenance work in the thirty-three zones. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The proposed assessments for the 33 zones in Landscaping and Lighting District AD 1979-3 (LL-2) are for the purpose of maintaining the existing facilities within these zones. Notification to property owners in Zone 7 is required to meet Senate Bill 1977 (Bergeson) requirements due to the proposed increase in assessment to pay for increased electrical utility costs. Notification to property owners in Zones 40, 41, and 44 is required to meet Senate Bill 1977 (Bergeson) requirements because this is the initial assessment. IV.
