The Advisory Committee has advertised for these vacancies and has interviewed the applicants . The above are the Advisory Committee's recommendations for filling these vacancies . Our Committee has reviewed the applications and agree that they should make outstanding additions to the Women's Advisory Committee. Jensen, Staff SUBJECT IOC AGENDA ITEM: RECOMMENDATION FOR APPOINTMENTS TO THE WOMEN'S ADVISORY COMMITTEE Attached for your review are three applications submitted for appointment consideration to the Women's Advisory Committee. We have several vacancies and are anxious to have them filled as soon as possible. Notices of the vacancies have been sent to local newspapers, women's organizations and the Women's Advisory Committee interested party mailing list. Our Membership Review Committee conducted face to face interviews with the applicants. The work of the committee, activities undertaken and issues targeted by the committee, and membership attendance requirements were explained to.the applicants. All of the applicants are very interested in serving on the committee and have indicated they have the time available to attend meetings and participate in committee activities and events. All of the applicants are residents of Contra Costa County. Each applicant meets the qualifications for the category recommended. The Women's Advisory Committee recommends the following appointments: Business Category: Sharon Barone, owner of "Born To Shop" and resident of Walnut Creek. The membership term is 2/28/96. Traditional Professional: Lori Anzini, Information Center Specialist for East Bay MUD and resident of Pittsburg. The membership term is 2/28/94. Non-Traditional Professional: BJ Conrad, Steamfitter and Coordinator for County Women in Construction (a non-traditional employment and training program funded by the Contra Costa County Private Industry Council) and resident of Crockett. The membership term is 2/28/95.
