WHEREAS, Deborah Coyle is retiring after 28 years of loving and dedicated service as Director
and Teacher at the Creative Play Center; and
WHEREAS, Deborah has helped to make the preschool a special place where children can
explore, discover, learn, and play in a safe and nurturing environment; and
WHEREAS, Deborah's involvement on numerous boards and commissions associated with child
care issues has helped to provide the residents of Contra Costa County with quality care for their
children; and
WHEREAS, Deborah's 20 years as an instructor with the Family Life Education Department at
Diablo Valley College has shaped the minds of students to become excellent teachers in their own
right; and
WHEREAS, Deborah's many contributions to a generation of children and to the community are
much appreciated. Her influence will be felt for many years to come.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares June 26, 1993,
as DEBORAH COYLE DAY in Contra Costa County on the occasion of her retirement from the
Creative Play Center and wishes her much happiness and success.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON June 22, 1993, by a unanimous vote of the Board members
present.
