Adopted this Order on May 25, 1993 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Smith, Bishop, McPeak, Torlakson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

SUBJECT: Early Retirement Option Proposal
The Board received a letter dated May 17, 1993 , from
Jim Hicks, Business Agent, AFSCME, Local 2700/512, 1000 Court
Street, Martinez 94553, requesting that the early retirement
option be offered to various classifications within certain
County Departments and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection
District.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that Mr. Hicks' letter as
well as any other lists of classifications submitted by any other
union is REFERRED to the County Administrator for report, said
report to include an analysis and the steps the County would have
to take to both offer early retirement and achieve a net savings
in the positions in each department.
I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of
