SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order No. 8 for the San Pablo Avenue/Willow Avenue
Project in the Rodeo area, Project No. 0662-6R4272-89
Specific Request(s)or Recommendations)&Background&Justification
1. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Contract Change Order No. 8 in the approximate amount of $20,000.00 and
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Don
Dowd Company for work performed.
II. Financial Impact:
The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover the change order costs. The source of
funds is the Transportation System Management Program (100% State Funded).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of contract change orders Nos. 1 through 8 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring
Board approval. This change order was needed to balance quantities allotted with quantities
used.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The lack of APPROVAL would preclude payment for work required.
