RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize a General Plan Amendment study for a site totaling 50.6,acres in the Boeger Ranch area. The proposed
plan amendment is to change the existing County General Plan land use designation from Open Space to Single
Family Residential, Low Density. The authorization of this study does not imply endorsement of the plan
amendment.
FISCAL IMPACT
The applicant will pay a general plan amendment fee.
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Vince Fletcher of Kaufman&Broad is requesting a ctp ige to the County General Plan land use element for a 50 acre
parcel near the Boeger Ranch development. The plan amendment area is located at the Evora Road/Driftwood Drive
intersection on the north side of Evora Road. The proposed plan amendment is for up to 58 residential units on 50.6
acres.
The Driftwood Drive extension to Evora Road was provided as part of the Boeger Ranch development. The proposed
building area within the plan amendment area is adjacent to the Driftwood Drive extension and would be a logical
location if additional residential development is to be c.)nsidered. The plan amendment request to create the proposed
residential units could be argued to be an infill dew-.1opment. Staff recommends approval of the plan amendment
study to further consider this proposed change in land use policy.
