III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
Since 1977 , the County, through its Office on Aging, has
operated a Senior Community Services Employment Program under
Title V of the Older Americans Act.
As a result of the change in the State funding formula for
the Title V program, funds received for program year 1993-94
will be $17, 119 less than funds received for the previous
year. Reduced funding will enable service to three (3) fewer
low-income seniors than were served in 1992-93 .
