I feel that the currant new law which requires a yearly county business license fee of $100.00 plus $10.00 for each employee is not fair. Most small companies, such as ours, may employ up to ten people when they have enough contracted work, however, in the last couple of years our small company finds it difficult to employ one persons full time. Since cities will allow a quarterly business license to obtain a building permit, it seems the County should follow the same fair example due to the fact that most companies may operate in several different cities or uninorporated areas. Our small company has saved money by obtaining a quarterly license when necessary. Sincerely, ichard B.
