WEST PITTSBURG AREA FOR BOE & CO.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize a General Plan Amendment study for a site totaling 1.53 acres in the West Pittsburg area. The proposed
plan amendment is to change the existing County General Plan land use designation from Multiple Family
Residential, High Density to Commercial. The authorization of this study does not imply endorsement of the plan
amendment.
FISCAL IMPACT
The applicant will pay a general plan amendment fee.
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
Timothy Boe of Boe & Co.requests that the Board authorize a study to amend the County General Plan land use
designation for this property from the existing Multiple Family Residential, High Density designation to
Commercial. The plan amendment area is located near a recently constructed on-ramp improvement near Highway 4.
The road improvement realigned the road system around the subject site,which may make the site more appropriate
for an auto-oriented use. Staff recommends that the Board authroize the plan amendment study to further consider the
proposed request.
