HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04061993 - 1.22 IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION NO. 93\157 Honoring Faustino Pagni upon ] the occasion of his 'Retirement] from the Crockett-Valona ] Sanitary District ] WHEREAS, Faustino Pagni came to Crockett, California from Italy in 1931 at the age of fourteen, became an American citizen shortly thereafter, and served his country valiantly as a Medic in New Guinea during World War. II; and WHEREAS, Mr. Pagni has been a loving and devoted husband to his dear wife Clementina-; father to his children, Richard and Barbara; and Nonno to his grandchildren to Katy, Alexis, and Ross; and WHEREAS, Mr. Pagni began working at the California and Hawaiian Sugar Company in 1945, eventually rising to the position of Building Crafts Foreman before his retirement in 1983; and WHEREAS, Mr. Pagni was elected to the Board of Directors of the Crockett-Valona Sanitary district in 1977 and continued in exemplary service until his retirement from that board in November 1992; and WHEREAS, he brought all his many years of experience, talent, and skill to his volunteer position and served his community competently, unselfishly, and enthuastically for over 15 years. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California CONGRATULATES Faustino Pagni on his retirement from volunteer community service; COMMENDS him for his generosity and competence; and EXTENDS to Faustino Pagni our warmest appreciation for all his many years of service to the community of Crockett and to Contra Costa County. PASSED and ADOPTED this day of April 6, 1993, by unanimous vote of the Board members, present.
