RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-393-2 with Pittsburg Pre-School Coordinating Council effective March 1, 1993, to amend Standard Contract #22-393-1 (effective July 1, 1992 through June 30, 1993) , to increase the payment limit by $12 , 500, from $25, 650 to a new Contract payment limit of $38, 150. This Contractor provides HIV/AIDS education for women of child-bearing age, their sex partners and for other residents of East County who are at risk for HIV infection. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by the State Department of Health Services. No County match is required. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: On June 9, 1992 , the Board approved Standard Contract #22-393-1 with the Pittsburg Pre-School Coordinating Council to provide HIV/AIDS education and prevention services mainly directed to women of child- bearing age and their partners in East County. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-393-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through June 30, 1993 .
