SF-468V AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa ("PHA") desires to enter into an amended Annual Contributions Contract ("ACC") with the United States of America ("Government") for the Section 8 Existing Voucher Program; and, WHEREAS, the amended Section 8 Existing Housing Voucher ACC consists of the following counterparts: (a) Part I of the ACC, HUD-52520D (1/90) applicable to the Section 8 Existing Housing Voucher Program; (b) Exhibit 1 to Part I of the ACC adding Project No. CA39-VO11-018 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa, as follows: 1. The amended Part I and Exhibit I of the ACC for the Section 8 Existing Housing Voucher Program are hereby approved and accepted. The Chairman or Acting Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to execute the counterparts of the ACC on behalf of the PHA, and the Secretary is hereby authorized to impress the official seal of the PHA on each such counterpart and to forward such executed counterparts to the Government together with such other documents evidencing the approval and authorizing the execution of as may be required by the Government. 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Contract authority in the amount of $282,429 has been allocated to the Housing Authority as a new funding increment to replace increment CA39-VO11-006 which will expire on March 14, 1993. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The Housing Authority has received notification from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that $282,429 in contract authority has been allocated to the Housing Authority Section 8 Housing Voucher Program under Project Number CA39-VO11-018. This Annual Contributions Contract amendment gives the Housing Authority contract authority for dwelling rents and administrative fees for 28 dwelling units currently under Project Number CA39-VO11-006, which will expire on March 14, 1993. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Should the Board of Commissioners elect to not adopt Resolution No. 3670, the Housing Authority would lose all funding for the 28 dwelling units under Project CA39-VO11-006 on March 15, 1993.
