Dear Congressman Kker:
RE: HR 18 and HR 42
This letter requests your support of legislation which would permanently extend the authority
for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (HR 18 and HR 42). The Low Income
Housing Tax Credit Program has proven to be a welcome addition to the arsenal of tools
necessary to address the rental housing needs of very low income households.
Our Board of Supervisors believes strongly in affirmatively addressing the broad spectrum of
affordable housing needs. The Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program can play a major role
in our affordable housing strategy.
We would like to continue to affirmatively address our housing needs and, to that end, we ask
your support and urgently request your co-sponsorship of HR 18 and HR 42.
Sincerely,
Tom Torlakson, Chair
