RECOMMENDATION
Deny claim for refund of property taxes, interest, and attorney's fees.
FINANCIAL IWACT
The amount of refund due, if any, has not been determined and would involve
unbudgeted funds.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
An Application for Changed Assessment has been filed by Robert Beach on the
Richmond Town House Apartments for 1988-89. The hearings have been
postponed pending the outcome of a lawsuit on another property. The lawsuit
has been concluded but the Assessment Appeals Board has not yet held the
hearings to determine the value. Until these hearings are concluded no refund
is warranted. The filing was made to protect the applicant's right to receive the
refund if there is one due.
