FACT CONTRACT EXTENSIONS JUNE 24 , 1992
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
Following a thorough review of each project and analysis of
projected FY 92-93 FACT revenues, The FACT Committee voted to
recommend to the Board continued funding of these seven Contracts
at their FY 91-92 'levels. However, recent information from
State Office of Child Abuse Prevention staff indicates that some
of the budget plan's currently under consideration by the
legislature would result in elimination of AB 1733 monies. A
reduction of this magnitude would not permit. full 12-month
funding of these Contracts.
Based on this information, the FACT Committee now recommends a
one-month extension for these Contractors until such time as the
status of the AB 1733: award to the County is more clear. FACT' s
projected $75 , 000 carry over from FY 91-92 is sufficient to fund
these extensions.
When the State budget is approved, should AB. 1733 funds be
available, the Committee recommends continued FY 92-93 funding of
the seven Contracts at their FY 91-92 levels .
