Gilbert, Director of General Services o( _... !t Co _...I. , Coun DATE: fo'.i `Jvt� c June 9, 1992 `' SUBJECT: WETLAND RESTORATION ON BYRON BOYS ' RANCH SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)6 BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the use of approximately 11 . 5 acres at Byron Boys ' Ranch for development of a marsh and seasonal wetland as a replacement nesting habitat. II . Financial Impact: The construction cost is included in the funding for the development of the Byron Airport. III . Reasons for Recommendations/Background: The development of a marsh and pond is required in compensation for filling a stock pond and other impacts on wetlands related to the expansion of the Byron Airport. The development plan expands an existing pond on the Boys ' Ranch parcel and restores a portion of the land to its original condition as a seasonal wetland along Fisk Creek.
