SUBJECT: Approval of Standard Contract #22-401-1
with Pittsburg Preschool Coordinating Council
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of
the County, Standard Contract #22-401-1 with Pittsburg
Preschool Coordinating Council for the period June 1,
1992 through June 30, 1993 in the amount of $27, 625 for
provision of HIV/AIDS resource/case management services.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This contract is funded 100% by the State Department of
Health Services, Office of AIDS through the "Ryan White
Act" . No County match is required.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
The County' s local consortium of public, private and
nonprofit HIV health and support service providers
includes the Pittsburg Preschool Coordinating Council.
The State Office of AIDS has approved funding through
the "Ryan White CARE Act" to improve the quality,
availability and organization of health and support
services for individuals with HIV Disease and their
families.
Approval of Standard Contract #22-401-1 will allow the
Contractor to continue to provide resource/case manage-
ment services to people with HIV Disease through June
30, 1993 .
