SUBJECT: Approval of Standard Contract Agreement #26-235-3 with vV
Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. dba Group One Therapy
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) ac BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of the County,
Standard Contract Agreement #26-235-3, with Comprehensive Health
Services, Inc. , dba Group One Therapy, effective April 16, 1992 through
March 31, 1993 with a contract payment payment limit of $100, 000. This
Contractor provides physical therapy services at Merrithew Memorial
Hospital and Clinics.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is included in the Health Services Department Enterprise
I budget for FY 1991-92, and will be funded in the Department's FY
1992-93 budget, by salary savings generated through vacant physical
therapy positions.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On November 5, 1991, the County Administrator's Office approved and the
Purchasing Agent executed Contract #26-235 (as amended by Contract
Amendment Agreements #26-235-1 and #26-235-2) , with Comprehensive
Health Services, dba Group One Therapy, for physical therapy services
at Merrithew Memorial Hospital and Clinics. The Department continues
to be unable to fill vacant physical therapy positions, and has had to
rely heavily on registry therapists, when they are available.
Approval of Standard Contract Agreement #26-235-3 will allow the
Contractor to continue to provide physical therapy services through
March 31, 1993 .
