SUBJECT: Proposed Crockett Cogeneration Project
The Board received a letter dated May 12, 1992, from
John T. Miller, Vice President of Business Development, Energy
National, Inc. , 500 NE Multnomah Street, Suite 900, Portland,
Oregon 97232-2039, requesting the Board to set a time, prior to
June 30, 1992 , to consider how property tax revenues from the
Crockett Cogeneration Project may be allocated to provide benefits
to the Crockett Community so that the California Energy Commission
may make finding of community benefit.
The Board also received a letter dated May 24, 1992,
from Salli Spoon, President, Crockett Chamber of Commerce, P. O.
Box 191, Crockett, California 94525, requesting the Board to
appoint an advisory committee charged with the responsibility of
representing the interests of the Crockett residents in negotiating
economic and social benefits that may result if. the cogeneration
plant application is approved by the California Energy Commission.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the request of Ms. Spoon
for the establishment of an advisory committee is APPROVED.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the issues of the Crockett
Cogeneration Plant as referenced in the letter of Mr. Miller and
Ms. Spoon are referred to the County Administrator for report to
the Board on June 16, 1992.
