SUBJECT IOC AGENDA ITEM: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE WOMEN'S
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Attached for your review are two applications submitted for appointment consideration to
Homemaker Category and.Clerical Employees Category on the Women's Advisory Committee.
The term for these positions expire on 2/28/95. A concerted effort was made to recruit
applicants for these positions including the issuance of a press release to the media, PSAs,
and notices to women's organizations and to our interested party mailing list (notice
attached).
Our Membership Review Committee interviewed both applicants and explained the work of
the committee, activities undertaken and issues targeted by the committee, and
membership attendance requirements.
Ms. Talley, Clerical Employee Category applicant, is not employed in a clerical position,
however, as an EDD representative she does have extensive experience working with
individuals in the clerical field.
The Committee feels that both applicants would be an asset to the work of the committee
and therefore,_recommends the appointment of the following individuals, to the categories
listed, for a three year term expiring 2/28/95:
