BACKGROUND: Claimant filed request for Evidentiary Hearing on March 18, 1992. The Hearing was held on April 22, 1992. The record was left open until May 1, 1992 to allow the claimant an opportunity to provide additional verification, which was not received. The decision was rendered on May 14, ' 1992, denying the claim. Barbara Weidenfeld, Social Service Department, Appeals Officer, appeared and presented the staff recommendation that the appeal decision be upheld. Gwendolyn Davis, appellant, advised that there had been a mistake in her mailing address by the Social Service Department . Supervisor Torlakson requested clarification from staff on the issue of the mailing address. Ms. Weidenfeld responded that the hearing decision had a typographical error and that there had been a letter to Miss Davis at her correct address as was included in .the Board' s information packet today. The Board advised that they did not have this informa- tion before them in their packet today. Supervisor Powers requested that the Board be supplied with the information on the mailing address, and requested that the hearing be continued to July 14, 1992. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the hearing on the above matter is CONTINUED to July 14, 1992 at 11: 00 a.m. in the Board chambers; and the Social Service Department is REQUESTED to provide the appropriate information to the Board.
