MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: JUNE 23, 1992 SUBJECT: HWY 4 SR-160 TO BIG BREAK ROAD WIDENING Project No.: 4660-6X4029-89 Task: ACQ Account: 3540 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: A. APPROVE Right of Way Contract and ACCEPT Quitclaim Deed dated June 1, 1992, from the Oakley Chamber of Commerce. B. AUTHORIZE Public Works Director to execute said Right of Way Contract on behalf of the County. C. APPROVE payment for said property rights and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check as follows: $345.00 payable to the Oakley Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 1298, Oakley, CA., 94561, to be forwarded to the Real Property Division for delivery. D. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above referenced Quitclaim Deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder. II. Financial Impact: Payment of $345.00 from Oakley/North Brentwood Area of Benefit funds. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: These property rights are required for the Hwy 4-SR 160 to Big Break Road Widening project in accordance with the4 approved plans and specifications. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: The project will not have sufficient land rights to allow construction in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
