City of Richmond' s Efforts to ) RESOLUTION NO. 92/305
Locate the Proposed State )
Department of Health Services )
Lab in the City of Richmond )
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, through its Richmond
Redevelopment Agency, has been working since 1977 to develop its
waterfront into a dynamic multi-use community through its Marina
Bay Project; and
WHEREAS, Marina Bay has become a prestigious and suc-
cessful residential community through the high quality and well
planned residential development that has occurred to date; and
WHEREAS, the location of an office and/or laboratory
development at the West Shore Phase II of the Marina Bay Project
would increase employment opportunities for Richmond area Resi-
dents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Super-
visors of Contra Costa County formally supports the request of the
City of Richmond to the Department of Health Services of the State
of California to locate its proposed office/laboratory facility on
the West Shore Phase II of Marina Bay, Richmond, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on May 5 , 1992 by a unanimous vote of
the Board members present.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and
correct copy of an action entered on the minutes of said Board of
Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
