II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None. Private Donation.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
Chevron Corporation has continued to assist in alleviating the
County's unemployment situation confronting our youth by
making similar donations for the past nine years.
The Summer Youth Jobs Program (SYJP) of Contra Costa County,
continues to be an effective Program. What started out as a
Project, has now become a Partnership between the County PIC
and the Private sector to insure the welfare of our unemployed
youth during the summer.
