HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04281992 - 1.24 1m 24 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on April 28, 1992 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson, McPeak NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None i SUBJECT: ) In the Matter of Amending } 258 Resolution No. 92/107 ) Resolution No. 92/ Whereas, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 92/107 on March 3, 1992 which established compensation and benefit levels for management, elected and unrepresented employees for the period October 1, 1991 through September 30, 1993; and, Whereas Resolution 92/107 omitted reference to elimination of word processing and video terminal display differentials for certain management and unrepresented employees as is the Board's intent consistent with elimination of these differentials for represented employees; now therefore: The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT effective April 1, 1992 the following paragraph is added to Section III, Differentials, of Resolution 92/107: 0. Elimination of Differentials. Effective April 1, 1992 both the $50 per month word processing differential and the $40 per month video display terminal differential previously authorized by Section III.C and III.D respectively of Resolution 89/684 are eliminated for all management and unrepresented employees in classes listed in Exhibit A. In lieu of these differentials, employees in classes listed in Exhibit A shall have their salary range adjusted upward at the midpoint of the range by that number of levels equal to or above $50. Other Management and Unrepresented employees in classes listed in Exhibit B if currently receiving either differential, shall continue to be eligible for either differential. However, no new word processing or VDT differentials shall be granted to employees appointed to any class listed in Exhibit A or B subsequent to April 1, 1992 and differential payments to current employees will be terminated when the employee is reclassified, reallocated, transferred, promoted, demoted, or separates. The Management and Unrepresented classes listed in Exhibits A and B are correct but not inclusive. Should the Director of Personnel determine that additional Management and/or Unrepresented class(es) correctly belong in Exhibits A and/or B, they will be handled as outlined above.
