OF '
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Declaring )
April 11, 1992, as DOROTHY ) RESOLUTION NO. 92/217
ELSENIUS DAY in Contra Costa )
County )
Dorothy Elsenius is one of those citizens who gives her all: she
is the past president of the Pacheco Town Council, the president of
the Pacheco Municipal Advisory Committee, and a member of the
Mobile Home Advisory Board. She has also spent numerous hours
volunteering for local political campaigns and for the March of
Dimes. We are very appreciative of all of Dorothy' s efforts and
want to take this opportunity to honor her on the occasion of her
75th birthday.
Dorothy has been a resident of Contra Costa County since 1968 and
moved to Pacheco in 1974, where she has been instrumental in the
continuance of the Town Council (without her it would have
dissolved long ago) and the formation of the Pacheco Municipal
Advisory Committee. Her efforts have brought this small,
historical community much recognition--recently, the town boarders
were redefined and clearly marked thanks to her persistence.
Dorothy is a mother and has two grandchildren. She has been known
to cook a mean pot roast that reportedly has sold two of her homes
when potential buyers smelled its aroma. A lover of the arts,
Dorothy loves to sing and dance and is a former writer/editor for
the Albany Times.
We are all fortunate to have benefitted from Dorothy' s many talents
and her dedication to the community, and we wish to extend our
thanks to this very special lady on her special day. Happy
birthday, Dorothy!
