MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: March 10, 1992 SUBJECT: Approve Manor Road/Loma Linda Drive Bike Lane Project Project No.: 0662-6134147, EI Sobrante Area; CP # 91-81 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1. Recommended Action: APPROVE Project and DETERMINE that the project is a CEQA Class 4h Categorical Exemption, and DIRECT the Public Works Director to prepare contract plans and specifications for construction. DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. DIRECT the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption. II. Financial Impact: The estimated project cost is $88,000 funded by the Transportation Development Act, Article 3. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The project consists of widening Manor Road and Loma Linda Drive between Mitchell Way and Salida Way to provide a bike lane. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA because it is a minor improvement to an existing facility.
