II. Financial Impact:
The above actions have no impact on County finances. Services to Sanitation District No. 6 are
funded entirely by the annual sewer service charges.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
Each year the County Sanitation Districts are required to set by Ordinance the annual sewer
service charges. Government Code Section 54992 describes what steps are necessary before
such an ordinance can be adopted.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The District would be unable to collect sewer service fees for Fiscal Year 1992-93 for operation
of the system. The collection and treatment of waste water is necessary to protect the public
health and the environment.
