RESOLUTION NO. 91/425
SUBJECT: LIBRARY SERVICE IN THE EXPANDED )
DANVILLE BRANCH LIBRARY )
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville is applying for California Library Construction and
Renovation Bond Act grant funds to build an expanded 18,000 square foot library facility
in Danville, and
WHEREAS, Contra Costa County currently operates the Danville Branch Library and the
Town of Danville wants the County to operate the new expanded facility, and
WHEREAS, the grant application requires that the governing body of the jurisdiction
responsible for operating library service in the building must adopt a resolution indicating
its willingness to operate the facility,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County agrees to operate
library service in the expanded Danville Branch Library being proposed in the Town of
Danville grant application.

IN NEW CLAYTON COMMUNITY )

WHEREAS, the City of Clayton is applying for California Library Construction and
Renovation Bond Act grant funds to build a 15,000 square foot library facility in Clayton,
and
WHEREAS, Contra Costa County does not currently operate any library facility in the City
of Clayton and the City of Clayton wants the County to operate the new facility, and
WHEREAS, the grant application requires that the governing body of the jurisdiction
responsible for operating library service in the building must adopt a resolution indicating
its willingness to operate the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Contra Costa County agrees to operate the
library service in the new Clayton Community Library being proposed in the City of
Clayton grant application.
