several additional nominations have been made which require
action by the Board of Supervisors. We anticipate that
additional appointments will have to be made on June 4 and June
11 before the Task Force is fully constituted.
The Task. Force held its initial meeting on the evening of May 20,
1991. Some 36 individuals were present. Most of this f irst
meeting was occupied with organizational details. Three
subcommittees were established to address various elements of the
challenge of setting program priorities for new federal child
care dollars in Contra Costa County.
The Task Force has tentatively planned to meet every other Monday
evening, with the three subcommittees meeting in between Task
Force meetings to draft the principal business of the Task Force.
