SUBJECT: Health Services Revolving.Fund

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the.following recommended actions by Health Services Director
1. To increase the Health Services revolving fund with the approval of Internal Audit by $1,070.00 to a
new total of $16,320.00. The limit for the present revolving fund is $15,250.00.
2. To set up a $300.00 petty cash fund out of the Discovery House II checking account, thereby decreasing
the Discovery House II checking account from $3,000.00 to $2,700.00.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No. financial impact is associated with the action.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION AND BACKGROUND:
1. A. I & J Wards are requesting $100.00 every month to be used for the purchase of patients' recreational
and sports equipment, games, etc.: This.$100.00 is.in addition to their existing $100.00 petty cash
fund:
B. Tri Cities Discovery Program requests a $50.00 petty cash fund to be used for immediate purchases of
emergency office supplies.
C. San Pablo Discovery.Program requests a $50.00 petty, cash fund to be used for immediate purchases
of emergency office supplies.
D. Increase in Health Services revolving fund.is necessary to maintain the revolving fund balance at a level .
sufficient to replenish the existing petty cash funds.
2. A $300.00 petty cash fund for Discovery House II was requested to meet various clients needs and
emergency office purchases.
