Kolin upon) his retirement from the Contra) Costa County Drug Abuse Board ) Resolution No. 91/322 WHEREAS, William M. Kolin has been a member of the Contra Costa County Drug Abuse Board for three years and has held the position of chair for two years of his appointment; and WHEREAS, Bill has proven himself to be an aggressive catalyst for increased participation by his fellow committee members; and WHEREAS, during Bill' s tenure, he has not only been a strong supporter of drug prevention and treatment programs, but has also encouraged a progressive view of the abuse of all drugs; and WHEREAS, Mr. Kolin was an advocate for state legislation which would have let counties merge the drug and alcohol boards, allowing for increased cooperation; and WHEREAS, Bill Kolin spent his personal time traveling to and . from Sacramento as a liaison between Contra Costa County and the State of California departments of drug .and alcohol programs; and WHEREAS, William M. Kolin will be retiring from the Contra Costa County Drug Abuse Board on Friday, June 1, 1991. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County EXTENDS THEIR APPRECIATION to William M. Kolin for his efforts to stop the abuse of drugs and alcohol throughout Contra Costa County and WISHES him luck in his future endeavors. PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this 21st day of May, 1991.
