SUPERVISORS AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Auditor-Controller County__.Administrator - BY DEPUTY M382 (10/88) I BACKGROUND: Due to the constraints caused by reassignment to a new out-of-County position, Dave Stuckey resigned from his PIC business position. In taking advantage of an early retirement opportunity, Michael Romeo resigned from the PIC as he no longer qualified as a business representative. Due to time constraints caused by a change in employment, Dave Platt submitted a letter of resignation. On February 5, 1991, the Board acknowledged receipt of the three resignations, but delayed accepting the resignations pending the appointment of their replacements to the Private Industry Council. The Board of Supervisors instructed the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancies; and the PIC Executive Director to solicit nominations in accordance with federal and state rules and regulations. Our Committee has carefully reviewed the recommendations of staff and the qualifications of the nominated candidates, as well as the distribution and balance! of the PIC. Based on this review, we believe that the above recommendations will provide the best possible balance to the PIC, retain qualified and interested members, and improve the geographic and ethnic balance of the PIC, and we urge the Board to approve our recommendations. ! i I i i i I I !
