=20% Advise and.assist the public in matters relating to Redevelopment Programs,
Contra Costa County Single Family Mortgage Bond Programs, and Mortgage Credit
Certificate Programs.
10% Advise and assist Program Participants in the Single Family Mortgage Bond
Program, Mortgage Credit Certificate Program :and Multi-Family Bond Program,
(Program participants include Lenders, Developers, Multi-Family Project
Owners and Managers of Multi-Family Project Developments) .
10% Monitor compliance of developers and property owners under Contract with
the Redevelopment Agency. Monitor- compliance with Program requirements
for the Mortgage.-Credit Certificate Program and the Multi-Family Bond Program.
5% Conduct basic research on issues related to the County's active and proposed
Redevelopment Programs.
5% Monitor and process contracts for services with ouside agencies and
consultants.
5% Review and process Administrator-'s Certificates in connection with the
Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bond Program.
5% Obtain and review lenders monthly .status and loan origination reports for
the Single Family Mortgage Bond Program.

REDEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
DEFINITION:
Under general supervision performs a wide variety of technical and
administrative tasks in support of planning and redevelopment professionals.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Redevelopment Specialist is a single position sub-professional class in the
Planner series. This class is distinguished from the Planning Technician series
in that it is a specialty position with expertise in redevelopment programs
rather than a broad knowledge of Contra Costa County zoning ordinances and
applicable laws. Supervision is received from a Principal Planner and/or the
Deputy Director for Redevelopment.
TYPICAL TASKS:
Conducts office and field investigations of present and proposed Redevelopment
project areas; advises and assists the public in matters relating to the Contra
Costa County Redevelopment program; monitors compliance of developers/property
owners under contract with the Redevelopment agency; conducts less complex
research on issues related to the redevelopment programs; processes contracts
with outside agencies and consultants; maintains records for the Home Mortgage
Finance Program; reviews records for accuracy and completeness, enters data and
operates computer programs; and performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
License Required:, Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
Experience: Three years of full-time or its equivalent technical experience
processing redevelopment agency documents.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of laws and County; good knowledge of the mortgage bond program;
knowledge of filing systems and computer input; ability to process and monitor
outside contracts; ability to read, interpret and research laws, rules and
regulations; ability to compile a general outline or report summarizing research
data; ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with
supervisors, co-workers and the general public; ability to prepare technical
material and reports in a clear and concise manner.
