HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03191991 - 1.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on March 19, 1991, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson and Powers NOES: None ABSENT: None TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3446 ABSTAIN: None Supervisorial District II SUBJECT: Speed Limits on APPIAN WAY (Road No. 1271), Pinole. The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2 (Sec. 46-2.002 ff.), this Board hereby determines that the present speed limit(s) established on the below-described road, a street within the criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 is(are) more than reasonable and safe, and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s) is(are) most appropriate, reasonable, and safe prima facie speed limit(s) there: Pursuant to Section 22357 of the California Vehicle Code, no vehicle shall travel in excess 35 mph on that portion of APPIAN WAY (Road #1271), beginning at the intersection of San Pablo Dam Road, and extending northerly to the City limits of Pinole. (Traffic Resolution #190 pertaining to the existing 25 mph speed limit on this portion of Appian Way is hereby rescinded).
