HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07171990 - 1.4 (2) THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on July 17 , 1990 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , McPeak., FaMeh NOES: Sidpervipor Torlakson ABSENT: SuperviFor Schroder ABSTAIN: None In the Matter of Amending ) Management/Unrepresented ) RESOLUTION NO. 90/ 463 Employee Compensation ) Resolution 89/684 ) The County Administrator and the Board of Supervisors having considered information regarding current salaries paid top managers in the County Health Services Department' and the prevailing compensation rates for health care administrators and hospital executives in the public sector; and The County Administrator and the Board of Supervisors having considered a request from the County Sheriff-Coroner regarding compensation for Lieutenants assigned standby duty _to act for the Sheriff in his absence; and The County Administrator and the Board of Supervisors having determined that adjustments to compensation are necessary for certain executive positions; NOW THEREFORE; THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVES THAT: 1. Effective on the date indicated, salary for the classification of County Administrator (ADA2) shall be allocated as follows: July 1, 1990: C1-2853 ($ 9567) October 1, 1990: C1-2930 ($10,332) January 1, 1991: C1-2950 ($10,541) 2. Effective on the dates indicated, salary for the classification of Director of Health Services (VCA1) shall be allocated as follows: July 1, 1990 C1-2804 ($ 9109) October 1, 1990 C1-2881 ($ 9838) January 1, 1991 C1-2911 ($10,138) July 1, 1991 C1-2941 ($10,446) 3. Effective July 1, 1990, the class of County Hospital Executive Director (VCB2) is established and allocated to the exempt salary schedule at level C1-2680 ($8048) and Assistant Health Services Director position No. 2441 is reallocated to the new class. 4. Effective on the dates indicated, salary. for the position of County Hospital Executive Director (VCB2) shall be allocated as follows: October 1, 1990 C1-2757 ($8691) January 1, 1991 C1-2787 ($8956) July 1, 1991 C1-2817 ($9223) RESOLUTION NO. 90/463 5. Effective June 1, 1990, incumbents in the class of Lieutenant (6XHA) who are assigned to the Sheriff's Department Patrol Division and who are required to function as standby watch commander shall be paid a differential of 5% of base monthly salary for each month they are in this status. As watch-standers, incumbents function as the acting Sheriff and must be available to respond to a variety of emergencies. Effective June 1, 1990 the payment of holiday overtime will no longer be authorized as compensation for watch-standing.
