SUBJECT: Contract For Rape Crisis Services For the Period July 1, 1990 through June 30,
1991
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S ) & BACKGROUND AND. JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize the District Attorney to execute, on behalf of the County, a contract
with the Rape Crisis Center of West Contra Costa, including any extensions or
amendments thereto, for rape crisis services in West and Central Contra Costa
County for the period July 1, 1990 through June 30, 1991, provided that the
payment limit does not exceed $123,811.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
None. Funds for these services are included in the County's 1990-91 Proposed
Budget. The entire amount is from the County General Fund, and is included in
the 1990-91 Proposed Budget for the District Attorney's Office.
The contract contains a condition that states that the contract will be
terminated without notice should no funds be appropriated for these services in
the County's final budget for 1990-91.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
This contract provides for the continuation of the delivery of rape crisis
services to West and Central County area.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
Failure to approve this request will result in the reduction or loss of rape
crisis services in West and Central County.
