HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06261990 - 2.2 2-0���� +v ���� -� Attaoboreot C ' THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on znoe 35 1990 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Schroder, Mreeak, zorlaksoo, robdeo NOES: moue ABSENT: moue ABSTAIN: moue In the Matter of Establishing the Deep Class of Customer Services Manager for Resolution No. 90/425 _- Environmental_-_--1 M__=__n- Agency._ ' ^ ' The Board of Supervisors has enacted Resolution 83/1; as amended, referred to as the Salary Regulations, and Section 20 of that Resolution relates to the compensation and terms and conditions of employment in deep classes; and The County Administrator has recommended that a position be created to direct, manage and coordinate all activities related to the centralized receipt and processing of land use, development and building applications and related permits within the newly-formed Environmental Management Agency; and It being appropriate to utilize a performance pay structure /deep class) to compensate this classification: NOW THEREFORE | THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVES THAT effective July l, � 1990, the deep class of Customer Services Manager (5PDB) is established and � allocated to salary schedule/level T4-1862 ($3381-4560) ' The position � specification attached as Exhibit A is concurrently adopted and terms and � conditions of employment in the class are as indicated herein. � l' Appointment. The appointing authority may make an initial appointment at ' any step of the salary range. Initial appointment shall be in consideration of qualifications of the person appointed and the nature and complexity of the ! � assignments to be performed' � � 2' Anniversary The anniversary date for the person appointed to this ! class shall be set in accordance with Section 3'1 (b'l) of the County Salary Regulations regardless of the step at which an employee is appointed' ! � 3' Merit SalaryOn an employee's anniversary data, the � appointing authority may, based upon an evaluation of work performance, award � up to two (2) 2 1/2% steps (total 5% maximum) salary advancement for satisfactory performance of the employee' The salary advancement shall be � granted only on the affirmative action of the appointing authority' The � appointing authority may unconditionally deny a salary increment advancement of � one (l) or two (2) steps or may deny one or both steps subject to review at a � specified date before the next anniversary date' � Additionally, on the employee's anniversary date, the appointing may award ' either one (l) additional step increment of 2 1/2% (total of 7 1/2% maximum} or � two \ additional steps (total of 10% maximum) for outstanding performance -- � the employee. If an employee does not receive the maximum outstanding performance pay or anniversary data, an extra salary review date may be sat by � the appointing authority for six (6) months after the anniversary date' This ' date may be sat by the appointing authority upon return of the Salary Review � Report to the Personnel Director or at another time prior to the extra review � date six (6) months after the anniversary date' . 4' Other provisions.
