SUBJECT: CONTRACT TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE DELTA DIABLO SANITATION DISTRICT

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE contract to provide right of way services to the Delta Diablo Sanitation District for
their project, and AUTHORIZE Board Chair to sign said contract on behalf of the County.
II. Financial Impact:
District to pay actual costs for Real Property staff right of way services.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The Delta Diablo Sanitation District is planning to expand its sewer treatment plant and needs
a pumping station site. This project requires that property be acquired. The District lacks
experienced right of way staff and desires to contract with the County for property appraisal and
acquisition services.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Less efficient government because the District would have to hire additional private contractors
at greater expense.
