SUBJECT: APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 TO
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF -CORPORATION YARD FOR PUBLIC WORKS
-DEPARTMENT, IMHOFF PLACE AND IMHOFF DRIVE, MARTINEZ (4425-4181; 0928-WH181B)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDATION
APPROVE Change Order No. 3 to the Contract dated February 27,
1990, for construction of the Corporation Yard for Public
Works Department, Imhoff Place and Imhoff Drive, Martinez and
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to execute the
Change Order, which provides for installation of water main
and appurtenances, and increases the Contract Price by
$60,668. 00.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
There are sufficient funds in the plant acquisition account
to cover the Change Order.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND.
Contra Costa Water District drawings and specifications were
not received in time to be included in the original contract
documents.
