The aging of our population is changing our individual and family life, our community structure and our expectations of what our national institutions should provide for our older population. In addition, we should celebrate the vast reservoir of talent, knowledge and experience that our older population offers and make use of the valuable resources they provide. Among the special events scheduled for Contra Costa County during the month of May will be 1. May 2 , 1990 Conference on Long Term-Care: Dilemma for Today, Solutions for Tomorrow John Muir Medical Center, Ball Auditorium The Social Service Department and its Office on Aging has collaborated with a variety of community groups and organizations to organize this conference. The conference will put particular emphasis on local planning and advocacy efforts for the future. 2 . May 10, 1990 Senior Information Day Richmond Convention Center This is the eighth annual event sponsored by the Richmond Commission on Aging, senior service providers, and senior clubs and organizations from throughout West County.
