7. Fix Thursday, May 10, 1990 from 3 : 00 P.M. to 5: 00 P.M. for
the first meeting of the Coordinating Council, at a site to
be determined.
8. Request the Health Services Director to report to the
Internal Operations Committee on Monday April 23 , 1990 with
the agenda for the first meeting of the Coordinating
Council.
BACKGROUND:
Our Committee has been receiving status reports on the
implementation of the Drug & Alcohol Action Plan at each of our
meetings.
At our meeting on April 9 , 1990 we received the initial set of
nominations from various groups for appointment to the
Coordinating Committee and are recommending that the Board
appoint these individuals. Additional nominations will be
recommended as soon as they are received.
In some cases regions have made nominations that do not precisely
match the categories outlined in the Board' s order establishing
the Coordinating Committee on February 27 , 1990. As a result we
have suggested several modifications to that order in order to
reflect the actual nominations which are being made.
We would also like to ask the Board to fix May 10 for the first
meeting of the Coordinating Council. Hopefully all of the Board
members will be able to attend at least part of the meeting. We
will report the agenda for the May 10 meeting when we next report
to the Board on May 1 , 1990 .
